Message from the HSA

Fellow Parents,

The school year is off to a great start, thanks in part to our wonderful Lafayette community. As we wrap up our first month of school, we wanted to flag a few housekeeping for you:
  • New Outdoor Info Board - A big shout out goes to Lafayette’s Class of 2017 for donating funds for a new info board located at the corner of Broadbranch Road and Northampton Street. You can find helpful information here, such as the school schedule, lunch menu and your weekly #Choosekind question.
  • Library Loft - If you haven't checked it out already, grab your kid and a book and relax in the new comfy fun reading space in the library. The loft was made possible by a bunch of parents who donated at the annual auction. Great appreciation goes out to Lafayette dad, Keith Vaughn for donating architectural services.
Become an HSA Member:
  • Please plan to attend the first monthly HSA General Meeting this Wednesday, 9/13, at 7pm in the cafetorium. At the meeting, we will share community updates, hear from Dr B and school staff, talk about upcoming events, and provide details on our response to the recent fraudulent use of HSA funds. Babysitting will be provided.
  • Our HSA funds many of the vital activities public schools have lost to budget constraints. Without your generous support, Lafayette is unable to offer the well-rounded learning experience that has been a tradition at our school.T he HSA funds our much-loved and well-respected Peace Program; technology equipment; science enrichment classes; art and music programs; athletic uniforms; and much, much more. We ask every Lafayette family to donate at some level and join the HSA - please visit lafayettehsa.org/donate. We thank you in advance for your generous support.
As always, thank you for all that you do! Please don't hesitate to contact us if we can be of any assistance throughout the school year.

Chris Lisi & Margaret Lidstone
