HSA

The Lafayette Home and School Association (HSA) comprises parents of students at Lafayette Elementary School, school staff, and members of the local community. The HSA's purpose is to bring home and school together, to work for the best interest of our children.

The HSA's primary function is to support Lafayette and work in tandem with the District of Columbia Public School system. Based on input from Lafayette parents, teachers, and staff, the HSA generates project ideas that would complement or improve the Lafayette experience. The HSA then raises funds (if needed) and implements projects based on priorities established by Lafayette parents, teachers, and staff. Recent capital improvement projects include renovating the school library and cafetorium.

A valuable resource to Lafayette, the HSA creates a sense of community by bringing parents together, working closely with teachers and staff, and enriching the student experience.
