Volunteer

Lafayette has a reputation for its active, engaged volunteers. Parent and community volunteers do everything from painting the hallways, to reading in the classrooms, to raising money for the many invaluable programs paid for by the Home and School Association.

When children see family and community members spending time in the school, they understand that their school is special and worth investing time in. Whether you have an hour in the evening, or one day a month, volunteering is a great way to get to know Lafayette, meet other parents, and make an investment in your child’s education.

• Help in the classroom or the art room. Please contact your room parent.
  
  
• Volunteer to help with a fundraising event. Contact the lead volunteer for that event.

• Find out about other projects around the school that you might be interested in (such as building repairs, painting, gardening, etc.). Contact an HSA board member.
