Dear Families –

Emails have now been sent from DCPS to students who have been matched for the first round of in person learning classrooms. As a reminder, lottery priorities were set as follows:

Lottery Priorities (ranked in order of priority)
  1. Homelessness
  2. IEP and/or ELL
  3. At Risk (eligible for SNAP/TANF or in foster care)
  4. All other students
*If a student is in multiple categories, the student will be placed in the category that gives them the highest priority. Categories are not “weighted”; students don’t get additional priority if they are members of multiple groups.

If you got an email, we will be in touch on Monday, 10/26. Families have two days to respond to the offer once we make contact. We will then move through the waitlist as quickly as possible. Once all of our seats have been filled, I will notify us as a community.
If you wish to accept the spot, you can do two things:
  1. Email Principal Broquard (carrie.broquard@k12.dc.gov) or AP Mayhew (stephanie.mayhew@k12.dc.gov)
OR
  1. Wait for a call from Lafayette staff starting Monday, October 26 to verbally accept the offer
If you plan to decline the offer, you will be able to do so with the link in the email or you can email me at carrie.broquard@k12.dc.gov.

If you did not get an email, your student was not matched in the first round of the lottery for in person learning classrooms.

**For students in the special education self-contained programs classrooms (ELS, ILS, SLS, CES) – the lottery results for your students will be available early next week.

**CARE classroom seats for grades PK – 1st will be matched and emails sent to students who were matched will be emailed out on Friday 10/30/20.**

Please don’t hesitate to email me at carrie.broquard@k12.dc.gov of call at 202-604-8473.

Take care,

Dr. B
