See The Bear Facts From a Decade Ago!
Thought you might find this Bear Facts from June 10, 2009 interesting as a historical feature looking back 10 years ago. That was the year we graduated our last 6th grade class and promoted our 5th graders, too! Notice that grade size for each 5th and 6th grade averaged 66 kids and each had its majority of students planning to …

Lafayette Tennis Camp Still Has Openings This Summer
Yes, school is ending soon! If your children are not “camped up” yet there are still opening in the Lafayette Tennis Summer Camp right here at Lafayette Park. We take beginners through highly skilled players for a week of fun with the goal to improve their tennis skills through the week. Campers can be 5 (4 ½ okay) through 15 and play for half a day or a full day. We work hard in the morning before it gets really hot, then we slow down with a lunch hour in the shade that usually includes a trip over to the delicious Broad Branch Market for snacks and cold drinks or even lunch if you haven’t packed one for your camper. We then enjoy an hour of quiet time where the kids can enjoy reading, board games, cards, conversations, artsy activities but NO ELECTRONICS! Twice a week we will go for a cooling swim at the Takoma Pool in the afternoon. Pre-Camp and Post-Camp care are available.
We start June 17. Some weeks are already full but the following still have spots:
July 1-5 (no camp on July 4th))
Go to www.LafayetteTennis.org to check on availability and to register. Please use a browser on a PC or Mac. Call me or email me if you have any problems, questions or crises. Paul Rosenbaum. 202 441-0925 rosenbaumpaul@msn.com

We are a neighborhood-friendly camp. And thank you for your continued support of our tennis programs throughout the year after school through the Flex Academy and the Lafayette Tennis Association.
