Registration for the 2020 Lafayette Tennis Indoor Winter Session at the Chevy Chase Community Center Is Still Open!

Thank you for supporting our Fall Flex and LTA tennis programs at Lafayette ES. This winter we will not have any indoor tennis activities through Flex at Lafayette ES due to lack of space. We will have an indoor program at the Chevy Chase Community Center. The program will starts on January 6, 2020 that will go until March 13. This is a great chance to keep your players’ tennis skills improving or to introduce tennis at a fun, low key level to rookies. The smaller courts, mini-nets and foam balls make indoor tennis fun. This program is open to Lafayette ES students (5-12) and other boys and girls in the local neighborhood community. We will be offering optional transportation at 3:15 from Lafayette to CCCC for any students taking the 3:30 or 4:45 classes Monday through Friday. Pickup can be as late as 6:00PM.

This is a smaller program that still has 48 spots through the 5 days. You can use www.LafayetteTennis.org Do not try to register from a smartphone. Use a browser on a computer or Macintosh.

If you have any questions or issues around scheduling, please contact me as soon as you can. Thank you. Paul Rosenbaum, Lafayette Tennis 202 441-0925

Have you been looking for a Awesome game of neighborhood basketball? Join the Lafayette Legends Basketball League.

We are looking for adult men and women who love to play basketball to join our league. Several teams will be formed by draft and play on Friday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm starting in early January through the winter at the Lafayette gym. Registration forms are located in the Lafayette school front office and attached to this document (see registration document in lower section). Please feel free to complete the form and mail to the address indicated or leave it with a office staff member attention Bob Johnson. We will have a meet and greet open gym for players to meet and then teams will be drafted. This is meant to be a fun community event and a way to stay in shape through fellowship. It's free but will probably have a small suggested donation for each player to help cover for referee, t-shirt, trophy and building use fees. Please feel free free to contact me if you any questions or concerns. Thank you in advance for supporting Lafayette community activities.

Best,
Bob Johnson
