A Note from Dr. B: Enrollment Season Is Right Around the Corner

It was fantastic to see so many of you Saturday evening for the auction. All I can say is…WOW!!!!! What an evening! Much gratitude goes out to all of the volunteers that were part of making the magic happen this weekend, and the fearless auction co-chairs, Lara Kline and Chris Lisi. We had over 500 people in attendance and raised amazing amounts of money to support our students and teachers. Thank you to everyone who was able to contribute in any way.

It’s hard to believe, but enrollment season is right around the corner! We will start collecting enrollment packets for returning students beginning on Monday, April 1st. Our goal is for all returning students to have completed paperwork by May 10th. The first three classes to have all students turn in their paperwork will win prize baskets! As soon as the new enrollment packets are available, we will share them with our families. Below are our hours for accepting enrollment packets:

-Monday – Friday: 8 am – 4 pm
-Wednesday: 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm

**Please note that during heavy traffic times, 8:45 am – 9:00 am and 3:15 pm – 3:30 pm, we may ask to pause document collection.**

Please join us this Wednesday evening for our first annual Family Fun Fitness Night from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Ms. McClure and Ms. Howes will be leading us in several fit and fun stations. In other health news, we will have a new nurse joining us on Monday’s and Tuesday’s. Please help me in welcoming Kate Shinberg who will be serving our students during the first days of the week.

Next week we have several exciting events for students. Our Drama Club play will be on Tuesday, with performances during the day and and at 7 pm. Our 3rd Grade will also host our annual DC Theater café during the day on Friday, 3/29/19. There will also be a parent workshop on IEPs, 504’s and RtI on Tuesday, April 2nd at 7 pm in the library. Finally, don’t forget that there is no school on Thursday, 4/4 and Friday, 4/5! These are staff PD days.

Hopefully March will start to go out like a lamb as the first day of spring is right around the corner.

Take care,
Dr. B
