Living in Washington, D.C., Lafayette students are fortunate to have a tremendous number of culturally important and enriching destinations in close proximity.
Each year, we collect a one-time payment of $100 from each child in the classroom to pay for teacher-organized field trips to locations like Mt. Vernon, the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, and the National Zoo. The fees also fund end-of-year parties and field-day shirts in each class.
You can pay by card (below) or send a check by delivering it to the front office or in your child’s folder. Please make it out to the Lafayette HSA (who helps process the funds only) and write “Class Activity Fee” and the teacher’s name on the check. If you need financial support for this fee, please contact Assistant Principals Mayhew and Bosurgi at this .
The Class Activity Fee is separate from any HSA donation and is not tax deductible.
