An Update on HSA Financials

The HSA Board is continuing to address the evidence of misappropriation of the organization’s funds and to make internal reforms. This week, the board is establishing four new committees to undertake pressing tasks and report to the board. Those committees and their duties include:

  1. Policies and Procedures: Recommend changes and improvements to the HSA’s policies and procedures, including its bylaws and handbook.
  2. Fraud Investigation: Work with counsel to ensure restitution and work with authorities, as needed.
  3. Fundraising: Assess our current fundraising plans for the 2017-2018 year and propose changes.
  4. Communications: Keep the Lafayette community informed of developments.

While we know many of you may still have questions about this troubling matter, this board is limited in what we can say in the midst of the ongoing legal procedures. However, the board is committed to provide more details as soon as possible to the full HSA membership and appreciates your continued support.
