Lafayette Gives back is organizing a coat and warm weather gear drive to benefit both the Lafayette community and our sister school Takoma Elementary. We are accepting coats, gloves, hats, mittens, scarves and boots/winter footwear for all aged kids and adults. We are seeking new or gently used items only, and items should be laundered first before donating.
Items can be dropped in the bins at the front entrance of Lafayette or on the front porch of 3300 Rittenhouse St NW. To help volunteer for the coat drive, sign up here!
For those of you not familiar with Lafayette Gives Back, we are a group of community service-oriented parent volunteers who provide needed items to families at both Lafayette and Takoma Elementary, a Title I school only a few miles away, as well as others within the DC community.
