FOURTH GRADE BOYS PPA DEVELOPMENTAL TEAM SEEKING TEAMMATES
If you have a 4th grade boy who’s interested in playing soccer with a team of classmates, we are looking for a few more players. The Lafayette Hornets is a Lafayette-based 4th grade boys developmental PPA team and we need two more players to fill our roster. Our season runs from September 18th through early November with practices on Wednesdays from 5-6pm in Meadowbrook Park on Beach Drive just before East West Hwy. Games on Saturdays (times vary). RETIRED DCPS TEACHER AVAILABLE TO TUTOR
Nancy Nickel, a twenty-year veteran teacher of DCPS is available to tutor. Ms. Nickel spent the entirety of her service at Lafayette, fifteen of which was spent in teaching second grade. Prior to that she was the founding director of a Montessori School in DC. Since retiring in 2019, she has been an afterschool tutor M-Th with two daily sessions, 3:30 and 4:30. Ms. Nickel lives one block from the school for easy drop off and pick up.
Ms. Nickel is particularly interested in assisting children from K-3 with remedial reading and content writing. She can also help with math, special projects, and homework.
