Join the Sweet Potato Sprint on Thanksgiving Morning at Lafayette!
Please join Lafayette parents Heather Davenport & Sophie Hanrahan in our sixth annual Thanksgiving-morning race, for kids and adults alike. Info at https://sweetpotatosprint.com/
There will be two sets of races, one for adults and older kid runners around the neighborhood and one for younger kids on baseball field. And as is traditional, we’ll have coffee, baked treats and other goodies for all, provided by Mark Roche-Garland.
As an added feature this year, Ryan Eney is hosting a kid’s Turkey Bowl on the baseball field during/after the races. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the football fun before/after or in lieu of the races!
Please RSVP for all participants- adults and kids- so we can plan accordingly! http://sweetpotatosprint.com/rsvp/

Registration for the Lafayette Tennis Indoor Late Fall and Winter Sessions at the Chevy Chase Community Center is Still Open!

Thank you for supporting our Fall Flex and LTA tennis programs at Lafayette ES.  This winter we will not have any indoor tennis activities through Flex at Lafayette ES due to lack of space.  We will be starting indoor programs at the Chevy Chase Community Center right after Thanksgiving (Late Fall) that will run for 3 weeks until the holiday break on December 20.  There will then be a subsequent program starting right after the New Year (Winter) on January 6, 2020 also that will go until March 13.  This is a great chance to keep your players’ tennis skills improving or to introduce tennis at a fun, low key level to rookies.  The smaller courts, mini-nets and foam balls make indoor tennis fun. These programs are open to Lafayette ES students (5-12) and other boys and girls in the local neighborhood community.  We will be offering optional transportation from Lafayette to CCCC for any students taking the 3:30 classes.

These are smaller programs that only have 80 spots per session so I suggest registering soon.  I would recommend signing up for both Late Fall and Winter sessions now.  You can use www.LafayetteTennis.org    Do not try to register from a smartphone.  Use a browser on a computer or Macintosh.

If you have any questions or issues around scheduling, please contact me as soon as you can.   Thank you. Paul Rosenbaum, Lafayette Tennis  202 441-092
