Enrollment, Summer Bridge, and Cash Grants

It’s hard to believe, but July is almost here!  I hope this finds all of you enjoying one another during this unique summer.  Below are some important updates about enrollment, summer bridge for rising 3rd graders, and cash grants available to families in need.

Enrollment

We need your help with enrollment.  We are currently missing about 250 enrollment packets for returning students.  We could be at risk for losing staffing if we are not fully enrolled.  If you have not yet completed your online enrollment packet, please do so no later than Friday, July 3rd.  The enrollment link is here:

Summer Bridge for Rising 3rd Graders

For all of our rising 3rd grade students, this summer DCPS is hosting a Summer Bridge program.

Summer Bridge will take place in-person at schools for two weeks as long as health conditions allow. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day. The dates and times are:

  • Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm.
  • Monday, August 17 to Thursday, August 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The deadline to sign-up for the optional Summer Bridge program is July 6. Students who are entering grades 3, 6, or 9 in 2020-2021 can register for Summer Bridge at this link. Registration is accessible on both your mobile devices and computer.

Because this is a new program, we are working to establish the curriculum and schedule.  Like everything at this moment, we are building the programming in real time to try and best meet the needs of our students.  If it is safe to be in person, I would encourage our families to consider signing up for this summer experience.  If you need to attend just one week because of other commitments, please register and then email to let us know.  Read more about how we are keeping students and staff safe in the Summer Bridge FAQ.

Emergency Cash Grants

We know some of our families have been greatly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The HSA has established a fund to be able to give cash grants in the amount of $250 to families in need, until funding runs out. Request assistance below. All information is confidential and is received only by our counselors and school administration.  Please use the links below to apply for any needs:
