This year, the Home & School Association (HSA) and Lafayette ES Local School Advisory Team (LSAT) are conducting elections concurrently.
The HSA Nominating Committee seeks nominations and self-nominations for the executive officers of the HSA for the 2020-21 school year. Co-President Brianne Cohen and Co-Treasurer Paul Brodsky will remain on the Board for the second year of their two-year terms. All other positions are open to the parent/guardian community.
A virtual vote will be held on September 30 to elect the following officers: Co-President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, and Co-Treasurer. The Lafayette ES Local School Advisory Team (LSAT) will also be holding elections for parents/guardians of current Lafayette students for the 2020-21 school year on September 30, 2020. We are currently seeking nominations for candidates to serve on the LSAT.
The LSAT is a group of parents/guardians, teachers, non-instructional staff members, and community members who meet monthly to advise the principal on school priorities. A diversity of perspectives and experiences is important to a successful LSAT experience, as we want to make sure our school leaders hear from a variety of voices that are representative of the overall school community.
