Kindness in Reading Poster Contest

The Lafayette Literacy Committee invites all students to participate in our annual book poster contest!  This year, we’re celebrating acts of kindness in stories.  A winner from each grade will have prize money to spend at our book fair in December!

Students should think of a favorite book.  When was a character kind?  They should draw that scene from the book and describe what happened.

Description should be no more than five sentences long and should fit onto the poster.  Neatness, legibility, content, spelling, punctuation, and grammar will be judged.  Students who need help with handwriting may type or have someone write for them; however, all artwork must be done by students. Posters that are not student work will be disqualified.

Be sure to include the title of the book and the author!

Please include your name, grade, and homeroom.

Poster should be no larger than 11” x 17”.

Posters must be submitted to Ms. Leese by Friday, November 18!
