Don’t forget: Lafayette’s annual Day of Service is coming up THIS Saturday, January 26th from 1:00-3:00! Please click here to RSVP for this drop-in event so we’ll be sure to have enough supplies on hand for all participants. Don’t worry, if you don’t get a chance to RSVP, you can still stop by on the day of the event. In order to reduce lines at the stations this year we’re asking families whose last names start with A-J to try and come during the first hour, and families with last names starting with K-Z to come during the second hour.
We still need donations to help make the day a success! You can help by: 1- signing up to bring items to the event via SignUp Genius; 2- purchasing an item on this Amazon wish list; or 3- dropping off some of the following items in the bin labeled “Day of Service” in the main entrance: diapers sized 3-6; new hats, gloves, warm socks (all items needed in both adult and children’s sizes); unused lip moisturizer (such as chapstick) or small tubes of lotion.
We’re still seeking middle and high-school students to help with set-up and clean-up. Interested students can sign up here.
We look forward to joining together as a school community to raise awareness around the needs faced by others, and to contribute in a meaningful way. Thank you!
