Math Club
It’s been a mathtastic year in Math Club! This spring we have explored Pi, consecutive sums, coordinate graphing, and so much more during our Wednesday morning meetings. We will have our final Math Club meeting on Wednesday, May 31 st . Thank you so much to Mr. Howard for joining us this year and a big thank you to all of the families who helped our mathematicians arrive bright and early on Wednesdays. We hope to see a lot of our students next year at Math Club and/or Math Team!
Math Team
On Friday May 19th, we had our fourth Math Team competition from the Continental Math League. Our mathematicians worked hard to solve six non-routine problems and we are so proud of all who participated. Once again, we had some first-time placers, so a special congratulations to them for cracking the top three. We have never managed to complete all five Continental Math League contests in a school year but this year we are going for it! We will have our fifth and final competition for the year on Friday June 2nd, discuss the set on June 9th, and celebrate another great year in Math Team on Friday June 16th .
