Ms. Ryden would like to invite you to join our Peace of Mind annual conference. The theme this year is “What Do Our Students Need Most Right Now” and will feature some amazing speakers including Lafayette’s very own Syreetta McArthur, Sophia Carre, and (hopefully) Jillian Diesner.
We’ll talk about how our kids are doing, why mindfulness-based social emotional learning is so important for them right now, and how mindfulness can help to bolster the social justice learning that must continue in our schools, despite the current opposition in some parts of the country. There will be opportunities for you to practice mindfulness, and you’ll get a chance to see some of our Mindful Mentors at work. The conference is on Zoom on January 29th from 10:30am-2:30pm. The conference is geared toward educators, but we would love for parents to join to learn more about Lafayette’s own Peace program and see how it is being implemented across the country. This is a “pay what you can” conference. We don’t want money to be an obstacle for anyone who wants to join. Suggested donation is $35.
We’d love to see you there!
