The first week of the Lafayette Spring Reading Challenge is over, and Ms. Lindsley/White’s class is winning! More than half the class has participated, and together, they’ve logged 3,004 minutes! Collectively, third grade logged 7,694 minutes last week. As a school, you logged more than 10,000 minutes last week.
It is not too late to catch up! Minutes can be logged after the fact, so log onto Beanstack through Clever today and log all that reading you did last week! Also, as you go through your day, look for moments when you can beef up your reading. Do you have a few minutes until it’s time for supper? Wash your hands and then grab a book! Have a few minutes before your favorite TV show starts? Bet you could fit in a few pages!
Not sure how to use Beanstack? Ms. Leese created a video tutorial that walks you through the website. There’s also an app!
We’ve got two more weeks to go! The challenge ends on Saturday, May 2. The winning class will get to pick books for their classroom library.
