We are Bear-y Excited to Help Our Students!
Dear Lafayette Families,
Greetings! The start of school kicks off the start of the HSA’s fundraising efforts through our annual fund drive supporting The Bear Fund. Thanks to our generous community last year, we raised over $140,000 through the Bear Fund drive which supports various programs throughout the year for our students and teachers.
Given the growing school and our success last year, we are increasing our goal this year and hope you will join us in supporting the school.
Our 2019-2020 Bear Fund goals are:
- Raise $150,000 to support our school
- 100% participation of families in the Bear Fund
The Bear Fund supports all of the work of the HSA throughout the year. Each year, the HSA invests over $300,000 (or approximately $400/student) in our school community and programs including both grade-specific informances, extracurricular programs, classroom supplies, science programs, and more. We help fund our school’s one-of-a-kind Peace Program which focuses on social and emotional learning and makes our school a kinder, more inclusive place. Importantly, we also help cover many building and school supplies costs so that Dr. B can focus her budget on teachers.
How your funds support student programming:

As we head back to school, we invite you to participate in The Bear Fund at a level best for you. Back by popular choice, we will be offering an installment plan this year so that you can spread your giving across the school year.

Again, thank you in advance for making the 2019-2020 school year an amazing success.
