Welcome to the Lafayette annual fundraiser! The Bear Fund is our school fundraiser that supports the Peace program, teacher supplies, scholarships, and so much more.

In this challenging year, the Bear Fund remains more critical to school support than ever.
|
The Bear Fund has allowed Lafayette to rise up to meet the unexpected. During the COVID pandemic, we have purchased laptops for teachers, provided immediate help for families and staff in need, and met the social and emotional needs of our children. Our goal as an HSA is to provide a stable environment for our children, teachers, and families. Maintaining that stability means supporting our current needs, but having flexibility if new ones arise.

Our community understands the importance of helping others. This year, we voted in support of an equity pledge. Working in collaboration with the DC Education Fund, we are pledging 10% of all funds raised through the Bear Fund to provide direct financial support for DCPS students furthest from opportunity. We are proud to be leaders in this important step towards equity.

Please join us in supporting the HSA and the programs that make our community so special. This year the Bear Fund will be the main fundraiser for Lafayette with one goal: 100% participation of families across all giving levels.
