Earlier this year, our community voted to pass an Equity Pledge that donates 10% of funds raised during Lafayette’s annual fundraising campaign to help vulnerable school communities throughout DC.
Working with the DC Education Fund, we will identify where these funds are best directed to help students with things like hygiene or school supplies. As one parent put it in the video below, "The Bear Fund is the ultimate manifestation of our communal effort at Lafayette...We also have the great fortune of not having to worry if our kids are going to eat or whether they have clean clothes or the things they need."
