Celebrating Juneteenth - No School on Friday, 6/18
|
Yesterday, the Senate passed a bill designating Juneteenth (June 19th) as a federal holiday. This is our country’s first new federal holiday since Martin Luther King Jr Day designated in 1983.

This afternoon, Mayor Bowser announced that DC government will be closed on Friday, 6/18 to celebrate Juneteenth. School will also be closed on Friday, 6/18.
