If you have questions, please see our frequently asked questions here. This year, we are rolling over fees from previous classes so only those students from pre-K, K, 1st and 2nd …

Hilana Falafel at BBM on Mondays benefits Lafayette HSA

This is a reminder about our new partnership with Hilana Falafel and the Broad Branch Market. Hilana Falafel was started by Manal Hilana Insley, who has two children that attend Lafayette Elementary.

Hilana Falafel provides authentic "Jerusalem style" falafel sandwiches using fresh/local ingredients from the Washington, DC region. When Manal moved to the United States, she found it difficult to balance working and being a mom. In an effort to do something that she loved that provided flexibility to her schedule, she began serving her falafel at the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market. After receiving amazing reviews, she expanded to the White House FreshFarms market and has since been featured in The Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine and continues to be highly rated on every online rating platform.

If you or your Lafayette kids are interested in falafel at the Broad Branch Market, 10% of all Hilana Falafel sales will be going to the Lafayette HSA. Available every Monday, starting on September 13! This is a great way to support locally-owned businesses and Lafayette! More info to follow in the coming weeks.

Lafayette Afterschool Tennis or 5-14 year old boys and girls

Dear Lafayette Parents:

We have completed the summer camp season. We played lots of tennis. We watched some great professionals play at the Citi Open Tennis Tournament over at Rock Creek Park. We endured the heat with hats, tents, ice water, misting bottles, a misting hose and popsicles. We will have our COVID safe afterschool program up and running on September 7, the day after Labor Day.

We are ready for you to register for our tennis classes on Monday through Friday at 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30. The classes are already filling up.

Go to www.LafayetteTennis.org on a PC or Mac (smartphones may not show the full screen) to register.

There will not be any FLEX enrichment program this Fall. We will be offering a COVID-safe program with smaller classes, masks, social distancing and sanitizer to keep the kids safe on the courts.
