Lots of spots still open for most ages (5-14) for Spring Afterschool Tennis at Lafayette-Pointer Park that starts March 14!

The Lafayette Tennis Association will be offering some outdoor tennis exercise in the afternoons. We will have virus-safe hour long classes of up to 5 players on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 3:30PM, 4:30PM and 5:30PM on the two upper courts at Lafayette-Pointer Park. If your tennis player/s have a pod of family, friends and/or classmates, you can register for the same class and play tennis with them. On a browser on a PC or Mac go to https://lafayettetennisdmv.jumbula.com/#/lta-home to register for a class time on your own, or contact Paul Rosenbaum at rosenbaumpaul@msn.com or text at 202 441-0925 so he can reserve a class time by day, time, age and skill level that you and your podmates (cohort) can secure with password access.

You can waitlist for a particular class. We will be using all appropriate COVID-19 safety measures to ensure that we are enjoying tennis in a safe mode. Contact Paul Rosenbaum if you have any additional questions or need help getting through the registration. 2022 Lafayette Summer Camp registration will also be opening soon.

Pro Skills Basketball (PSB) will be hosting tryouts for our 2022 program in a few weeks

At PSB we differentiate ourselves from the "traditional" AAU basketball model in three main ways:
1.) Comprehensive Development: We only keep 10 players per team and the expectation is that they will play together for 11 months (or 8 months in the case of our high school teams). Our players have access to practices, games, tournaments, 3v3, skill development, camps, clinics, and more. Our main priority is development. We want to win, but it is not the priority. We want all of our players to have a positive youth basketball experience where they grow as people and as players.
2.) Organized Parent Communication: Our local PSB director sends out monthly newsletters with upcoming information. Our coaches connect with parents weekly for upcoming focuses in practices and practice/game schedules. We will have practice and tournament schedules communicated at least a month in advance.
3.) Positive, Certified Coaches: Our coaches have a growth-mindset mentality and are committed to the "PSB Way." There are growth opportunities through wins, losses, and everything in between. Our coaches complete a PSB orientation, are CPR certified, and many are USA Gold Certified.

For most of the year, every team practices twice a week. Each team will participate in 7-8 tournaments. For the full projected schedule for 2022, please see attached.

We're hosting a pre-tryout workout:
March 13th @ You Reach I Teach (Elementary, Middle, & High School)

Our tryouts will take place on the following dates:
March 19th & 26th @ Sligo Middle School (Elementary School & Middle School)

Please contact coach Koki with any questions you have. koki@kokiisthekey.com m: 240.994.3941
