No School Friday, So Come Trick-or-Treat at Knollwood!

Halloween is coming and so is a chance to enrich the lives of neighborhood seniors, show off your costume, and get some early Halloween treats!

Join Lafayette Gives Back for a fun costume parade, talent show and trick-or-treating extravaganza to share the Halloween spirit with the residents at Knollwood Retirement Community from 3:00-4:15 p.m. this Friday. Oct. 27th (it's a no-school day).

The children will have an opportunity to announce their costumes, parade for a crowd, and even perform a talent if they'd like! Sign up here, and please note on the sign-up sheet if your child would like to perform a talent. The residents love to see our kids perform, and can have a piano available if needed (please note if you need it). They'd like to know our numbers in advance, so please sign up asap.

We'll meet at the main visitor entrance, which is on the Tennyson St. side of the facility near the corner of Tennyson and 29th St. Please park in spaces labeled "visitor," or on the street nearby. Every child should have an adult chaperone stay with them for the event, though each chaperone may be there with multiple children.

Separately, after Halloween, Lafayette Gives Back will be collecting extra candy that your children would like to set aside and donate to our troops serving overseas! We'll have a donation bin located in the front office of the school from November 1 - 10 where you can drop off any non-meltable candy to be sent to service members.

Happy Halloween from Lafayette Gives Back!
