Lafayette Park Fall Cleanup
Help keep Lafayette Park looking gorgeous. As evidenced by the fun had this past weekend at the Fall Festival, Lafayette Park is a tremendous asset to our community. What you may not know is that the city provides NO funding for the perimeter gardens, for either planting or maintenance. The park depends on YOU to keep going strong and looking beautiful. The Friends of Lafayette Park will be holding its annual fall cleanup Saturday, October 28, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Please sign up for an hour, two, or three - whatever time you have to commit - to help weed, rake, and maintain this unique and valuable community space. You can sign up here. Lafayette Recreation Center Modernization Community Meeting
Please join the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the Department of General Services (DGS) on Thursday, October 26, 2017 for a project kickoff meeting for the scheduled modernization of Lafayette Recreation Center. This will be our first community meeting regarding the modernization. We will introduce the DGS and DPR project team to the community, as well as members of the selected architectural firm of Shinberg Levinas Architecture.
