The latest Auction craic (gossip)

Introducing the Wall o’ Money
Every year, the Auction provides a unique opportunity to fund a special initiative to benefit the students of Lafayette. Raise the Paddle has been the format of choice at past auctions. This year we are in trying a different approach by introducing the Wall o’ Money, and the initiative we are funding is…Technology! As our school population expands, the need for cutting-edge technology, such as new computers and other resources is also growing. We're looking to raise $20,000 towards the $80,000 funding initiative to improve Technology at our school.

Auction guests will have the opportunity to remove a "shamrock" from the wall and anonymously give anywhere between $5 and $1500 until the live auction is over. No donation is too big or too small - the goal is to clear the Wall o’ Money of all the Shamrocks! Alright then—bang on!

Ireland Forever!

Éirinn go Brách!
March is Irish American Heritage Month! What better way to celebrate the many contributions of Irish immigrants made to this country than a St. Paddy’s Day Auction. Charles Carroll, John Philip Holland, The Fighting Sullivans, and even Dennis Leary all deserve our thanks. On St. Paddy’s Day, some raise a glass of green beer and say “Eirinn Go Brách!” Ever wonder why or what it means? Erinn translates to Emerald Isle and Brách quite literally means ‘until doomsday’. The more popular translation is Ireland Forever. So, as we celebrate our children and school, let’s not forget to salute Ireland, and the many Irish Americans in our midst, with a hardy Éirinn go Brách! Sláinte!

Thanks for the Wine
They wanted a final hurrah putting together this popular pre-auction party, and Kendal and Mike McManus, Eileen Dombo and Lou Blick, and Janine Finke-Boyle and Pete Boyle went out with a bang on Saturday night! The trio has organized and hosted FIVE times over the last few years, and their experience made for a brilliant Wine Cellar Party. Boasting a satisfied crowd of wonderful parents, mingling, laughing and tasting wonderful wines. The best part is the bounty of high-quality wines for the Wine Cellar LIVE auction item, that would make any wine aficionado jealous. A very heartfelt THANK YOU and go raibh maith agat (may you have goodness)!
