Food Truck Festival and Community Day
If you enjoy food and fun with a purpose, we have the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon! September is Hunger Action Month, and you’re invited to kick it off with DC's first-ever Food Truck Festival and Community Day on September 9th from 2 to 6 p.m.
The Capital Area Food Bank is partnering with TwentyTables to host this free outdoor community event that’s fun for all ages. Guests can enjoy a bean bag toss, giant Jenga, and other games while listening to tunes by DJ Francis. And of course, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase delicious eats from your favorite food trucks that include sweet and savory treats, Mexican and Mediterranean dishes, barbecue, and beyond!
In the spirit of Hunger Action Month, guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate, including cereal, peanut butter, or canned goods. We’ll also be offering tours of the food bank’s 123,000 square foot distribution center and our Urban Demonstration Garden to share how we get nearly 40 million pounds of nutritious food to 540,000 people in our area each year! RSVP HERE.
If you have any questions, or want to learn more about TwentyTables, please contact Alex Cohen.
