Parents are welcome to participate in a 'coffee and cake’ farewell to Mrs. Hoppe, our beloved ELL teacher, on Friday February 7th from 8:45 to 9:30 am in the FoodPrints Kitchen. Mrs. Hoppe was awarded an English Language Fellowship through the U.S. Department of State. The fellowship project includes training teachers and teaching English in Brazil. DC Youth Futbol Club Spring & Summer Programs

The DC Youth Futbol Club, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has several youth soccer programs coming up this Spring and Summer for boys and girls ages 6 to 17. First, is our Spring Break Camp scheduled for the week of April 13 at the Palisades Recreation Center. Second, we have a youth soccer development program for boys and girls ages 6-10 that will be conducted on Wednesdays and Thursdays in late afternoon starting in late March in Upper NW DC. Third, we are seeking girls born in 2009/2010 to play on our select DCYFC Wild Boars 09 team and our DCYFC Little Intensity 2011 girls team. Fourth, DCYFC is conducting Summer Camp at the Palisades Recreation Center the weeks of June 22 and June 29. It is a Brazilian-Style camp conducted by coaches from Brazil that is open to boys and girls ages 6-17.
