Greetings! The start of school kicks off the start of the HSA’s fundraising efforts and this year we are excited to announce two changes from recent years: First, as we mentioned in our back to school note, we believe all Lafayette families should be part of the HSA, so we are as the doing away the previously required membership fee. Second, we are re-launching The Bear Fund - our official annual fund drive.

We have two goals for this year:
|
- Raise more than $120,000 to support our school
- Increase participation from all Lafayette families
The HSA provides nearly $300,000 annually (nearly $400 per student) to support our school community and programs including both grade-specific informances, extra curricular programs, classroom supplies, science programs, and more. We help fund our school’s one-of-a-kind Peace Program which focuses on social and emotional learning and makes our school a kinder, more inclusive place. Importantly, we also help cover many building and school supplies costs so that Dr. B can focus her budget on teachers.

As we head back to school, we invite you to participate in The Bear Fund at a level best for you. To learn more about The Bear Fund or make a donation online, please click here. (For those of you who prefer to donate by check we will have envelopes in the main office available for you or you can drop off your donation in the HSA box in the school office.)

Your donations are 100% tax deductible. The Lafayette HSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and you will receive a receipt documenting your donation via email. Lafayette HSA Tax ID Number: 52-6049055.
