Welcome to Lafayette Elementary School and thank you for visiting.
Lafayette is proud to partner with the John F. Kennedy Center as a Changing Education through the Arts school. You will see us dancing, singing, and acting as we add the arts to reading, math, science, and social studies throughout the school year.
While studying rocks in first grade, you may see students writing poems about rocks or acting out the erosion cycle. Studying the Great Depression in fifth grade, students may look at photographs by Dorothea Lange and draw their own impressions of what they see.
Arts integration recognizes that children learn through many different means and lets the children have fun learning.
