Come to Earth Day in Lafayette’s Bear’s Garden

One Earth Day, Two Fun Events!

Friday, April 20th, from 1-3 pm
First and third grade students have created beautiful mosaic stepping stones for a path in the school’s garden. Come help us install the stones! We’ll be digging a bit in the ground and then placing the stones, so please come prepared to get dirty! Extra hands may also be needed to help assemble pollinator poles–handcrafted (by the 4th grade) ceramic pollinators that will add some more beauty to the garden.
Sunday, April 22nd, from 1- 3 pm
Come celebrate Earth Day on in the school garden with a clean-up and light refreshments. We’ll be planting ornamentals, weeding, and picking up trash.
Brittany Wolfish, Lafayette’s FoodPrints educator, will be there at 2 pm to share some snack samples and recipe cards from the FoodPrints program.
Please bring a reusable water bottle, garbage bags, and gloves. We’ll have extras on hand. And, again, please come prepared to get a little dirty!

RSVP (for either or both events) or questions to Laura Nelms.
