Big Deal Day

All Families – HERE WE GROW!   Come by Alice Deal Middle School on Saturday April 27th, 2024. We will be hosting our Big Deal Day with various events happening at our school grounds.  

DCPS Enrollment Saturday, 9 a.m. – 12 noon

Deal Flower & Herbs Sale, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Select from a variety of plants, flowers and herbs on sale. A great way to support Deal!

Open House & Deal Gear, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m

Sign up appreciated and we welcome walk-ins! Drop in anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon. Prospective families will meet current Deal Middle Schoolers, participate in a student guided tour and connect with Principal Neal for a Q&A session.  This is a great opportunity to see what’s happening at Deal and be part of our vibrant community of friends and families.

Student Entrepreneur Fair, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Explore Deal student-led businesses with a great mix of food, artwork, handmade craft items and more…

Girls Baseball Program, Ages 6-9 

Join DC Girls Baseball for spring skills development sessions. The four-week program is open to ages 6-9 — no prior experience required! The outdoor sessions will be led by members of DCGB’s 14U-18U teams and will be offered on Sunday afternoons in the Chevy Chase area. Registration is open HERE. Reduced rate available. Questions? St. John’s Boys Basketball Camp

Kids Up Reading Coaches

At Kids Up Reading Coaches we offer 1-on-1 evidence-based reading and spelling instructions to students of all ages. Sessions take place before/after school or camp. We follow the Science of Reading and use Orton-Gillingham to teach phonics.

Episcopal Center for Children’s After School Enrichment Program

Welcome back Lafayette families! The Episcopal Center for Children’s (ECC)  After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) is  currently enrolling children for the 2024-2025 school year to join an exciting new option for the Lafayette Elementary community to enjoy.

We are very proud of our newly renovated buildings and historically beautiful campus which includes an art studio, music room, recreation areas, media room, and gymnasium. The program affords lots of space for your child to explore, be curious, and creative while embracing ECC’s belief that Every Child Can!

The Episcopal Center for Children’s (ECC) location is just a couple of blocks away from Lafayette’s campus on Utah Avenue.

Enrollment: Grades PreK – 5th Grade

Hours: Monday-Friday 3:15-6:15
