Summer is just around the corner! All Lafayette Library books must be returned by Thursday, June 15.
Overdue notices will be coming to your email addresses later this week, but please log into your student’s account now to see what they’ve got checked out. Please note that books that were checked out earlier in the year might have been marked as lost automatically by the circulation system and will not show up on your student’s account. Books from previous years will also not be visible. Feel free to email if you are unsure if your student has other books.
Lafayette Library books will have a barcode sticker on the back that says “Lafayette ES Library,” “DC Public Schools” or something related. If the barcode has been marked out with marker, it has been removed from the library collection and does not need to be returned. Please go through your bookshelves!
DCPS expects that lost books will be replaced by families. Please send any replacement copies with a note attached so Ms. Leese can credit the correct account. If you have a circumstance that resulted in the loss or will be unable to replace them, please let Ms. Leese know.
To log into your student’s account:
1. Go to the Library Catalog link on Clever or directly to https://search.follettsoftware.com/metasearch/ui/5925
2. Click Login in the upper-right corner.
3. Log in using Clever OR using student’s username (just the number) and password.
4. Select Checkouts from the My Stuff menu at the top.
Students will maintain access to our ebooks and audiobooks through Sora over the summer provided they continue to be enrolled as a DCPS student.
