Thank you to the Lafayette community for making our Scholastic book fair such a success! It was a fun week for our students. As your librarian, I appreciate your commitment to literacy and reading for pleasure. Together, we raised more than $6,200 to purchase new books for our library collection.
Thanks are due to our hard-working volunteers! Your cheerfulness, patience with students and flexibility helped the fair hum along nicely. The book fair is a heavy lift, but we pulled it off with your helping hands. Extra thanks to those who picked up extra shifts when illnesses changed plans for other volunteers!
I owe a deep debt of gratitude to the HSA Book Fair Committee: Erin Walsh, Deb Shapiro and Lauren Chiarello. They put hours into publicity, coordinating volunteers, and planning. Thanks to Vanessa Scott and Mark Schofield for dealing with the time and stress of being treasurers. Thanks also to Olympia Meola and Nicole Majestic! The fair would’ve fallen into chaos without this team’s work.

These gift cards can be used anytime in Scholastic’s online store, or you can hold onto them to purchase an eWallet during a future Scholastic fair. Our school will receive 2% profit from any purchase on Scholastic’s store, provided you start your shopping from our book fair website to ensure it is linked to our school.
