Mid Summer Check In

Dear Lafayette Families –

Happy Mid-Summer!  In the blink of an eye 3 ½ weeks of summer has gone by!  In just 5 ½ weeks, we are excited to welcome the students and families back to school!  Hopefully you are all finding some time to relax, enjoy the summer, and spend some quality down time with your families.

It’s time to start thinking about school supplies!!!  This year we are continuing to partner with School Tool Box.  You can order your grade level supply box and have it shipped directly to your house.  If you are a vintage school supply shopper and love to sort through the bins at Target for just the right markers and notebooks….just print the list from School Tool Box and shop to your heart’s content!  Students will have the opportunity to drop off their school supplies the Thursday before school starts (8/24) during the Family Huddles.  Students are also welcome to bring them to school on the first day of school.  Here’s the link for the school supply lists:  School Supplies 2023-2024

Over the course of the rest of the summer, you can look for an update from me on August 1st that includes class lists, a welcome letter from the HSA and the school calendar.  Until then, please save the date for these upcoming activities as we start gearing up to open the 2023-2024 school year!  Please do also check out the DCPS calendar for the year.
